The section of walkway between Virginia Rd. and Fisher Lane. will be closed through Sunday, Aug. 16, due to the Bronx River Pathway Restoration project.

    Learn to Swim 2026

    Westchester County Parks’ Learn to Swim program returns to teach residents ages three and older how to swim at Saxon Woods in White Plains, Sprain Ridge and Tibbetts Brook in Yonkers, and Willson’s Woods in Mt. Vernon. Two sessions are available.

     
    Ages three through 14 classes

    • Session one: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; Tuesday, July 7 through Thursday, July 23. Class times to choose from are 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

    • Session two: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; Tuesday, July 28 through Thursday, Aug. 13. Class times to choose from are 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

    Rain dates are Fridays of each week; same time. $90 per session.
     
    Ages 15 and older classes

    • Session one: Saturday and Sunday; Saturday, July 11 through Sunday, July 26, 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. 

    • Session two: Saturday and Sunday; Saturday, July 25 through Sunday, Aug. 9, 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. 

    Rain dates are Sundays of each week at 9:45 a.m.; $90 per session.
