This immersive exhibit features a curated collection of botanical photography paired with easy-to-follow interpretive displays that showcase the fascinating variety of plant life — from ancient ferns and vibrant flowering species to towering trees. Westchester County Veterans Museum Exhibit: Evolution: 250 Years of Military Gear, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
This exhibit explores the development of military equipment and technology across two and a half centuries of American history. Featuring authentic artifacts including boots, headgear, uniforms, camouflage, firearms, dog tags, communications equipment, medical supplies, haversacks and field rations, visitors get an in-depth look at the changing realities of military service. Interactive touch-screen components provide an engaging educational experience for visitors of all ages. Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join Westchester Parks staff for a look inside the lighthouse to learn about what life was like for the keepers. This is a drop-in, self-led program. Groups of eight or more must pre-register. Park at Kingsland Point Park; the lighthouse is accessed by a 10-minute walk south along the Riverwalk path. The five-story structure includes four narrow stairways. Ecotherapy, also called nature therapy, focuses on improving mental and physical well-being through outdoor activities. Master naturalist Bruce Rosenberg will lead the guided walk to different areas of Lasdon that will be explored as nature and its benefits are experienced up close.
