Spend a few hours in our garden! Work next to Lasdon’s gardeners on tasks that include watering, weeding, planting, pruning, deadheading, and transplanting and tropical plant maintenance in a 60-year-old greenhouse. Free. Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays until November. Next. April 11, 12.

Monthly Meditation: Nature-Based Mindfulness for Tranquility and Renewal, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy the peace of early evening amongst Hilltop’s fields and woodlands. In the company of fellow nature lovers, explore nature-based mindfulness practices that remind us of our innate connection to the earth and offer support, perspective, delight and ease. This monthly program is open to new and experienced meditators. Free, with an optional donation to support the program and farm.

Ages 18 months to 4 years can gather together to enjoy early growth in the gardens, record our stories in a journal and learn about tools. We will experiment with seeds and roots, build with sticks, stems, rocks and blocks, and exercise our imaginations. We always end with gratitude for forest friends and a cup of warm tea. Dress for the weather and bring a snack. $5.

Ages 18 to 42 months can gather together to build with sticks and stems. We will learn about habitat and winter shelters and all the season has to offer and record our stories in a journal. We will experiment with wildflower seeds, watch for birds and tracks, and exercise our imagination. $5, including caregiver.

Spring Plein Air Painting, 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Under the guidance of Sarah Miller Totten, an accomplished painting educator and visual artist, join us for an enriching outdoor painting workshop during which every student creates their own unique masterpiece. Easels are available if needed. Oil painting materials will be provided for an additional fee of $10 paid to the instructor. Participants are welcome to bring and work with their own supplies. $50.

Lasdon’s gardeners will help rejuvenate your houseplants. Just show up, and together we will check the soil, remove dead and damaged leaves, repot it in good potting soil and talk about what your plant needs.
