Spend a few hours in our garden! Work next to Lasdon’s gardeners on tasks that include watering, weeding, planting, pruning, deadheading, and transplanting and tropical plant maintenance in a 60-year-old greenhouse. Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays until November. Next: May 2, 3.

Ages 18 months to 4 years can gather together to enjoy early growth in the gardens, record our stories in a journal and learn about tools. We will experiment with seeds and roots, build with sticks, stems, rocks and blocks, and exercise our imaginations. We always end with gratitude for forest friends and a cup of warm tea. Dangerous and Toxic Outdoor and Indoor Plants, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
This tour will examine some of the dangerous/toxic plants that are found in your backyard, home and surrounding area. Parts of these plants, including leaves, seeds and berries, if ingested, can cause individuals to become violently ill. Also: June 13.

Travel a 13.1-mile loop – from Westchester County Center south to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers – that’s closed to cars. Open to bicyclists, scooters and in-line skaters, e-bike class 1 only, plus walkers and joggers. No motorized scooters. Many points of entry and exit are along the way. Free admission.
