Glen Island Park's Permanent Bridge Will Be Poured on Thursday, April 9

April 7, 2026 - Glen Island Park will be closed to vehicular traffic on Thursday, April 9, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the pouring of the permanent concrete bridge. Pedestrian access will remain available via the temporary bridge sidewalk.

This is part of the Glen Island Bridge Reconstruction Project that will provide much needed safety improvements, which includes upgrading the bridge deck, providing steep repairs, electrical and mechanical upgrades, new masonry and painting and sidewalk replacement.
